Michael Godard
Michael is known as the “Rockstar of the Art World”! His world of art invites us to see his lighthearted perspective, surrounding us with animated olives, sultry grapes and dancing strawberries. His unique portrayal of fun is an exciting combination of imagination and subtle humor, evoking the creative side in ‘olive us’. He has redefined art as we know it and, of course, given it a punch line. His paintings are though provoking and full of enigmatic illusion. They show pain, love, conflict and success, making people smile, laugh and reminisce.
Godard’s work is highly collected by young and old from all walks of life including celebrities, rock starts and private collectors. His imaginative art is seen by millions each month, worldwide, through cruise lines, galleries, hotels, television, magazines and countless kiosks and stores. His work even adorns the walls of the Officer’s Lounge in the Pentagon, as well as onboard every US Navy Aircraft Carrier.
“Key of G”
Michael has dedicated himself to philanthropic causes through his art. In 2006, his 16-year-old daughter passed away after her battle with brain cancer. “All the money in the world cannot bring her back, but the funds I help raise for a cure will help save another child,” said Godard. Michael works very closely with St Jude’s, Make a Wish, the Nevada Cancer Institute and the Sharon Osborn Colon Cancer Foundation. The art featured below is titled “Wings of Hope” and was created specifically as fund raiser for St Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
A documentary of his life has won numerous awards, and his book, “Don’t Drink and Draw – the Art and Life of Michael Godard” has received numerous awards including “Art Book of the Year”.
